According to international hotel directories, the building was originally constructed in 1948. Built in the post-war period as a city hotel near Offenburg railway station, it later developed into a larger business and conference hotel.
During the 1990s and 2000s, the property belonged to the international Golden Tulip Hotels chain. Later, the hotel operated as EHM Hotel Offenburg City and underwent extensive renovations, including redesigned guest rooms, modernized corridors, a new façade, and renewed conference and restaurant areas.
